Polk Co. Amendments on the 2008 Ballot


COUNTY AMENDMENT 1

Requires all County Charter referenda to be conducted at a general election occurring at least sixty (60) days after the Charter amendment is proposed or validated.

Shall the Polk County Charter be amended to provide that all future proposed Charter amendments must be approved at a referendum conducted at a general election occurring at least sixty (60) days after the Charter amendment is proposed or validated, in order to eliminate the costs of special elections?




COUNTY AMENDMENT 2

Requires approval of all County Charter Amendments by at least sixty percent (60%) of electors voting in a Charter referendum election.

Shall the Polk County Charter be amended to require that any proposed Charter amendment must be approved by at least sixty percent 60% of electors voting in the referendum election at which the proposed Charter amendment is considered?




COUNTY AMENDMENT 3

Requires approval of at least sixty percent (60%) of electors voting in a referendum election to pass initiative proposed Ordinances.

Shall the Polk County Charter be amended to require that any Ordinance proposed by initiative be approved by at least sixty percent (60%) of electors voting in the referendum election at which the initiative proposed Ordinance is considered?
